Chocolate macarons

I’ve been hit by the macaron fever ( thanks to Masterchef Australia) and had been making these for a few months now. Only recently did I pluck up the courage to try the Italian method, as I was a bit put off by the extra step and equipment required over the French method.

Hopes – are these babies going to rise?
